Cross-Border Hospital and Post-Discharge Car

A door-to-door private passenger car between Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Guangzhou or Macau for a scheduled appointment, follow-up visit, or travel home after a clinician has approved discharge. Fares start at HKD 1,800. Before booking, we confirm whether the passenger can remain seated, any wheelchair or mobility equipment, accompanying passengers and immigration documents.

Service boundary: this is a normal passenger car, not an ambulance or medical-transport service. It does not provide clinical monitoring, oxygen, a stretcher, treatment or nursing care. A passenger who cannot sit upright, is medically unstable or needs care during the journey should use emergency services or an appropriately licensed medical-transport provider.

Any night surcharge, additional waiting, mobility equipment or special vehicle request must appear in the written quote before payment. The applicable vehicle permit and insurance scope are confirmed for the assigned vehicle and route.

Information required before booking

1. Pickup hospital, entrance and complete destination address.
2. Discharge or appointment time, and whether a clinician has approved travel in a normal passenger car.
3. Passenger, family and other companion numbers.
4. Whether the passenger can sit upright, transfer to a car seat and board without clinical assistance.
5. Wheelchair model and folded dimensions, plus all other equipment and luggage.
6. The passenger remains responsible for passports, visas and other immigration documents.

Vehicles, wheelchairs and checkpoints

A standard folding wheelchair may be carried only after its size, passenger count and vehicle space are checked. A vehicle that accepts an occupied wheelchair requires a separate written confirmation; it is not included unless stated in the booking.

Whether passengers or luggage must leave the vehicle for inspection depends on the checkpoint, direction, vehicle lane and instructions on site. The driver can explain the known process, but immigration and customs officers make the final decision.

FAQ

Can this replace an ambulance or emergency transport?

No. For urgent symptoms, oxygen, a stretcher, medical monitoring or care during travel, contact emergency services or an appropriately licensed medical-transport provider.

Does the driver provide medical or nursing assistance?

No. The driver provides transport and any ordinary luggage assistance agreed in advance. The driver does not make medical decisions, provide care, administer medication, lift a patient or operate medical equipment.

Can I bring a folding wheelchair?

You can request it, but send the folded dimensions first so vehicle space can be checked. Also state whether the passenger can transfer from the wheelchair to a normal vehicle seat.

Does the quote include hospital waiting?

The written quote controls. Send the appointment and estimated finish time; the booking will state included waiting time and any overtime rate.

Can a newborn travel home after discharge?

First obtain the clinical team's advice on normal car travel. Provide the child's age, height and weight so an appropriate child restraint request can be checked. We do not assess medical fitness to travel.
