FAQ

How is a medical transfer different from a normal cross-border car?

On top of a standard cross-border car, a medical transfer adds: hospital entry/exit assistance, a wheelchair-vehicle option, an English-speaking driver, escort hand-off, discharge-bag help, and 1–2 hours of hospital waiting at no extra charge. Drivers have basic medical-accompaniment training and can safely secure wheelchairs and equipment.

Is it safe to transfer a newborn after discharge?

Yes. The car carries a Group 0+ / Group 1 infant seat (free), ISOFIX-fixed and rear-facing. Drivers are trained for newborn discharge pickups, keep under 80 km/h throughout and avoid bumpy sections. We recommend a daytime slot on discharge day to avoid checkpoint queues.

Can a patient who can't sit up travel lying down?

The V-Class middle row reclines to about 165° (near-flat) with neck pillow and seatbelt. Fully bedridden patients should use a cross-border ambulance / stretcher vehicle (we can refer a partner) — that is outside normal charter service.

Can a doctor or nurse come along?

Yes. A V-Class seats 6 (patient + 5), an Alphard seats 6 + driver. Just tell us the party size when booking.

How do you handle 24-hour emergencies?

We dispatch overnight and on holidays via the Huanggang and HKZMB 24h lanes. The +HKD 800 emergency surcharge covers priority dispatch and driver overtime. Fastest arrival is about 30 minutes.

Will the driver help an elderly passenger who can't board alone?

Yes. All medical-line drivers have basic assistance training — pushing the wheelchair, helping board, securing the seatbelt. For higher-level care (vital-sign monitoring, oxygen, tube feeding), add an escort or use a medical transport service.

Does the quote include hospital waiting?

It includes 1 hour of hospital waiting (the common medication / follow-up case). Beyond that, HKD 200 / hour. Full-day (8h+) charters have a dedicated rate with no separate waiting charge.

Is my privacy protected?

Yes. Drivers sign an NDA and do not ask about your treatment; one client keeps the same driver; in-car records are never shared. For higher privacy (unmarked car / plain-clothes driver), note it when booking.
